ABOUT THE PROJECT
TPBPA, Taiwan Professional Baseball Players Association, had most of their communications on internet through Facebook fan page. They’ve been planning to build up an official website and hadn’t have a chance to actually make it due to busy schedules. So I offered a proposal to build up the website for them.
SITEMAP & TO START
I discussed the sitemap with them to grab the full picture that they want for the official site. Since they are going to post news quite frequently I suggested that content management system should be a better fit for them. First I searched for several wordpress themes for them to see what kinds of the homepage style they like.
With the themes I chose for them, I made customized mockups with their branding to let them see how it looks. The second version in the middle used a plugin to grab their facebook new posts to show on the homepage of the official site, I figured I should offer this options for them for easier maintenance though it is not the prettiest. The client chose the theme at the right to go further, the revision as follow,

According to prior discussion, I did some researches on couple different plugins that can do the tricks for their needs!

⚑ Complaint session – Gwolle Guestbook plugin
⚑ social media links – Mobile Contact Bar plugin
Above image shows the features to verify auction item number (left column) and a guestbook for general public to post their complaint (right column). The image also demonstrates how the interaction works with button being clicked (from top images to bottom ones)
CUSTOMIZING PAGES
Due to the cause of they may not be posting English posts as much as Chinese ones, I proposed a simpler interface for English site. The sitemap structure also narrowed down to the essential parts.
FINAL RESULT
Last but not least, I also spend some time to manage the site’s SEO and making sure all the responsive feature is working appropriately.
